Amid rumors between Manchester United and Barcelona, Dani Olmo discusses the future

In response to rumors that Barcelona wants to re-sign the attacker during this summer’s transfer window, Dani Olmo has said that he wants to return to Spain “some day.” Between 2007 and 2014, the Spaniard spent seven years at Barcelona’s academy before moving on to Dinamo Zagreb, where he began his professional career.

Olmo played 124 times for the Croatian team, recording 28 assists in addition to 34 goals.

The 24-year-old then moved to RB Leipzig in 2020, and since then, he has made 106 appearances for the German team, contributing 19 goals and 22 assists.

The Spain international’s current contract expires in 18 months, although there are many rumors swirling around his future at the moment.

He is said to be interested in returning to Camp Nou with Barcelona, while Manchester United has also been highly connected to his services.

Although Olmo claims he is not considering his future at the moment, the attacking midfielder has indicated a desire to go back and play professional football in Spain.

“My contract is good until 2024. I’m just thinking on the next games right now, not that. We still have three tournaments to go,” Olmo remarked in a Bild interview.

“In football, things may change all the time because they happen so quickly. My advisor takes care of it for me. I just pay attention to football.
