Super Eagles drop Iwobi and Osimhen

The Nigerian team that will play Costa Rica in a friendly match has left out Victor Osimhen and Alex Iwobi.

On November 10, the match is slated to take place in San Jose.

The invited athletes have been practicing at Ibadan’s Lekan Salami Stadium.

Afeez Nosiru, a midfielder, and the utility player Ohaka make the cut.

Nathaniel Nwosu, Mustapha Jibrin, Daniel Bameyi, Samuel Kalu, Chidiebere Nwobodo, and Evans Ogbonda are other members of the NPFL-dominated team.

Samson Paul, Daniel Wotlai, Jerry Alex, Isaiah Ejeh, Ezekiel Edidiong, Qudus Akanni, Shina Akinniran, Sunday Faleye, and Suleiman Garba are also members of the 18-man team.

Although several Super Eagles were passed over for the match against Costa Rica, Peseiro is anticipated to use them prominently in the lineup for the match against Portugal.
