Speaking about breaking Thierry Henry’s French record, Olivier Giroud
|Breaking Thierry Henry’s French goalscoring record, according to Olivier Giroud, demonstrates to younger players that “anything is possible.”
With his 52nd goal for France, the 36-year-old surpassed all other men’s goal scorers in history during Sunday’s victory over Poland in Qatar’s round of 16.
When I was 20 years old, I wasn’t playing at a very high level, Giroud admitted.
“What I have accomplished now proves that even though it takes time, you can climb mountains if you have the desire to succeed and work hard.”
