Barcelona’s Preparations For The Summer Transfer Window Are Revealed By Joan Laporta.

This summer, Barcelona will be looking to add a center-forward, a right-back, and a central defender, according to club president Joan Laporta.

The Catalan team, which continues to struggle financially, didn’t make any additions in January, but they were quite active in the summer, signing players like Raphinha, Jules Kounde, Robert Lewandowski, Pablo Torre, Franck Kessie, Andreas Christensen, Hector Bellerin, and Marcos Alonso.

Barcelona has already achieved success this year, having won the Spanish Super Cup in January, and they are now vying for La Liga and the Copa del Rey championships.

Laporta has now provided further information on the club’s objectives for the next summer transfer window, which include the pursuit of a right-back, a center defender, and a center striker.

“We must sign a right-back; the availability of a CB will depend on market conditions. Undoubtedly a striker, although someone will probably have to go. We have a fantastic midfield, therefore I don’t think we need to add anybody “Laporta told the media.

Barcelona manager Xavi also addressed the impending market, reassuring fans that the team “will strengthen” despite its limited resources.

“Barca must constantly strengthen the squad. No matter how we feel about it, this is about performance, and at Barca, everything must be top-notch “He is quoted by Mundo Deportivo as stating.

We rely on fair play and are managing a challenging economic environment, but we will definitely become stronger.

Although Gerard Pique announced his retirement at the conclusion of last year, Memphis Depay and Bellerin both departed Barcelona in January.

Inigo Martinez, who only has a contract with Athletic Bilbao till the end of the season, is still often linked to Barcelona, while there have also been rumors of interest in Manchester City center-back Aymeric Laporte.

After a loan stint at AC Milan, Sergino Dest is scheduled to return to Camp Nou this summer, although the American international may later leave on a permanent basis.

Ronald Araujo, Kounde, and Sergi Roberto have all played right back this season, leaving Barcelona without a dedicated right-back in their lineup.

Lewandowski, meanwhile, has had a successful debut season at Camp Nou with 25 goals and 6 assists in 31 games across all competitions.

Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati have failed to make an impact this year, scoring only five league goals between them, and the Catalan team lacks alternatives in the last third of the pitch.
