Why I Should Be Re-elected As Governor Of Lagos Sanwo-olu

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, said that he merits a second term to continue the state’s progress toward development.

In an interview with Nigerian Info on Wednesday, Sanwo-Olu made this statement.

He asked Lagosians to vote based on candidates’ expertise and track records rather than riding the political party’s wave.

“Judge me by my experience; I was a top bank manager before I entered government, and I know what it takes to be the governor of a megacity like Lagos,” Sanwo-Olu added.

Sanwo-Olu is running for reelection as governor under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

His reelection campaign will be opposed by the Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and the People’s Democratic Party’s Olajide Adediran, both of whom are running for governor (PDP).

Political analysts believe that the APC’s defeat by the Labour Party in Lagos State during the presidential election may be a sign of things to come in the gubernatorial vote.

Sanwo-Olu and top APC officials in Lagos State maintain that the governor has done well during his first term and that the public would thank him on March 18 with their ballots because of this.

Sanwo-Olu said that the infrastructure initiatives his government has undertaken in the areas of transportation, education, healthcare, and the economy have improved the lives of Lagosians.

Five overhead bridges are now being built simultaneously; the first, at Ebute Metta, is approximately 85% complete, while the second, at Yaba, is about 95% complete. completed three more at Ikeja along, Mushing to Onipanu, and Ayoola Coker at Iju, according to Sanwo-Olu.

Sanwo-Olu said that the government is taking action to avoid deadly incidents like the collision between a railway and a bus carrying employees of the Lagos State in Ikeja.

We now have physical barriers that can prevent this from occurring, as well as gates and signalization that can alert us to approaching trains via lights.
