When Buhari Leaves Office, Nigerians Will Long For Him, According To Garba Shehu

Garba Shehu, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant for Media and Publicity, has said that he is certain that, like Jonathan, Nigerians would long for President Muhammadu Buhari once he leaves office.

Garba Sheu said that politicians are not liked while in power in an interview with Channels Television on Monday, March 27, 2023. Sheu was upset over the severity of the president’s remarks at the time.

Mr. Shehu was of the belief that this same longing would occur when Buhari has turned over to the next president, citing the instance of Goodluck Jonathan, who he claims was hounded out of office but has now become the darling of many Nigerians.

About the cashless policy, Mr. Shehu reiterated that it is currently in place since it is desired and hence cannot be changed.

He said that being cashless is the best course of action for Nigeria since cashless countries and, in fact, all developed countries across the globe have done so.

The president’s spokesperson acknowledged the difficulties that came with the shift, lamenting the fact that the only persons who ought to have felt greater suffering are those who are hurting the weaker members of society.

Rev. Sam Ogedengbe, National President of the All Christian Leaders and Ministers Forum (ACLMF), has emphasized that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the country’s president-elect, is God’s appointed leader, and that no Satan incarnate can undo what God has planned for Nigeria.

In response to an alleged scheme by certain unhappy members of the opposition to halt the transition process, particularly Tinubu’s swearing-in and inauguration of the new government on May 29, 2023, Ogedengbe revealed this on Monday at the ACLMF headquarters in Lagos.

The clergyman, who is also the General Overseer of Abule-Egba, Lagos’ Overcomers’ Pentecostal Prayer Assembly, stressed that no Satan in human form can shorten what God has decreed.

God’s involvement in Asiwaju’s presidency, according to Ogedengbe, has been shown in a variety of ways, starting with the party primaries and continuing through the general elections, which he ultimately won despite internal and foreign intrigues.

“No demon incarnate can shorten what God has intended,” he said. God is actively involved in Asiwaju’s presidency. While many predicted he wouldn’t prevail in the primaries, he did. Up to the decisive general elections, we all saw what took place, even throughout the primaries. He succeeded.

“They said he would pass away before the election, yet he lived and won. The devil’s next plan is to shorten his oath of office.

“Asiwaju will take the oath of office and, if he chooses, lead Nigeria for eight years. Tinubu’s life is in God’s Hand, according to Ogedengbe.

Babatunde Fashola, a former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the previous governor of Lagos State, stated that if the enemies’ goal is to block Tinubu from being sworn in, they should put the idea to rest, find something else to do, and stop spending time and energy on something God has already perfected.
