Arrested For Alleged Sexual Assault Is Dani Alves

Brazilian international Dani Alves was seized by police in Barcelona and transported to court for interrogation after he was charged with sexually abusing a lady in a neighborhood nightclub.

The football player admitted that the alleged sex crime occurred around the end of last month at the renowned city nightclub Sutton.

He strongly insisted, though, “I don’t know who this person is,” when a court confirmed it had launched an official inquiry. Her name escapes me, I don’t know her, and I have never seen her before.

The former Barcelona defender was seized today at an unannounced place and escorted to a police station in the Les Corts neighborhood to provide a statement. The former Barcelona defender is presently playing for UNAM Pumas in Mexico.

The 39-year-old, who made history last month by being the oldest Brazilian to compete in a FIFA World Cup, reportedly had attorneys set up his police interview.

The sources state that in addition to being detained and having his fingerprints taken as per regular protocol, he would also be questioned and hauled before the court hearing the alleged sex assault for further interrogation.

A representative for the neighborhood Mossos D’Esquadra stated, “A guy suspected of an indecent assault at a nightclub in Barcelona late last year has been apprehended.

“After providing a statement to police, he has now been transported to court. Now, the court will be the one to determine what steps to follow.

A court official said ten days before that “Barcelona Court of Instruction Number 15 has initiated procedures regarding an alleged crime of sexual assault after a lady complained about a football player.

The investigating magistrate’s representative stated that the football player and the lady had not yet been deposed in court.
