Sanwo-olu Increases LAWMA Employees’ Pay By 20%

The pay of those employed by the state’s Lagos Waste Management Authority have risen by 20%, according to the Lagos State Government.

Mr. Ibrahim Odumboni, managing director and chief executive officer of LAWMA in the state, revealed this.

 

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the state governor, has asked waste managers affiliated with the Association of Waste Managers of Nigeria to support the All Progressives Congress by promising them an increase in pay.

 

At a meeting with the sweepers held at LAWMA’s headquarters in Ijora-Olopa, Odumboni announced the raise.

 

He said that in order to enable the sanitation personnel do their jobs effectively, new work tools including overalls, boots, and personal protection equipment would also be given to them.

 

He said that the State’s current government will provide the employees the assistance they need to do their jobs effectively.
