Police In Oyo Arrest 10 People With Human Parts And The Cleric’s Wife.

In possession of nine dried human skulls, one fresh human head, intestines, and other essential body parts, Oyo State Police Command agents have detained 11 individuals.

Adewale Osifeso, Superintendent of Police (SP) and Command spokesperson, said this yesterday in Ibadan while briefing reporters.

16 other people were also detained in connection with suspected abduction and armed robbery, according to Osifeso, who said the suspects were apprehended at their hideaway in the Orita-Aperin neighborhood of Ibadan.

He described how a police monitoring unit’s covert information collection on February 22 revealed the suspects’ illicit activity.

Osifeso claims that the accused were experts in trading human organs for ceremonial use, including skulls.

“The 11 criminal gang members all admitted to the crime when questioned,” he added.

“The suspects admitted that the dried human skulls were from bodies dumped in cemeteries.

They also admitted that their kingpin, Amuludun, who is still at large, slaughtered the victims before harvesting the fresh human head and other body parts.

Osifeso said that an investigation is now underway to apprehend the fleeing suspects and additional information will be released to the public in the future.

Nevertheless, one of the suspects, the wife of the main suspect who is now at large, said that she was shocked when the human skulls were discovered in her husband’s workplace since she knew he was an Islamic cleric.

She said that when the police arrived and searched the office where the skulls were discovered, she was on her way to her husband’s workplace to gather cash for food.

Seven alleged armed robbers who entered the Felele neighborhood in Ibadan brandishing firearms and other deadly weapons were also detained, according to the command’s spokesperson.

The victims, according to Osifeso, sounded the alarm as the armed robbers fled, and the alert drew a police surveillance team, which apprehended the culprits.
