No More! Waec Cancels The Results’ Manual Confirmation.

The manual confirmation or stamping of certificates for candidates who took the West African Senior School Certificate Examination from 1999 till the present has been abolished by the West African Examinations Council (WACE).

According to a statement from the council, this is because of the newly developed WAEC Digital Certificate Platform, which was created for a quick and easy way to provide stakeholders with the certificates of their candidates.

“The West African Examinations Council Nigeria is pleased to inform institutions, organizations, agencies, embassies, high commissions, and the general public that the Council will no longer provide manual confirmation or stamping of certificates of candidates who sat the WASSCE from 1999 until date,” it stated. “The Council has launched the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform for a seamless and timely mode of availing stakeholders of their candidates’ certificates.”

The statement went on to say that efforts were being made to widen the platform so that it could include candidates from 1980 and that the public would be informed of changes as they were available.

“Candidates may view, download, and distribute their original WAEC certificates on the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform,” it said. The certifications of applicants may also be quickly and securely confirmed by institutions and organizations.

Please take note that any certificates accessible and exchanged through the site are real and came from the WAEC database.

We kindly request that all interested parties and members of the public use the digital certificate platform created to reduce the bottlenecks caused by the manual access and confirmation procedure.

The WAEC Digital Certificate Platform could also be accessible online through the WAEC website, and a mobile app for both Android and iOS could be downloaded.

“We respectfully need email addresses from institutions, organizations, agencies, embassies, high commissions, etc. for the digital sharing, receiving, and certificate verification process. Also, it urged all parties involved to update their portals so that the WAEC certificate could be shared, according to the statement.
