Register With Us To Avoid Being Labeled Illegal

On Thursday, Dapo Abiodun, the governor of Ogun State, issued a warning to baales who have not yet registered with the state government to stop representing themselves as legal or face the repercussions.

Governor Abiodun said that his government will continue to see those who have not registered as genuine baales at the 5th Oko Ilu Day Celebration of the Ogun State Council of Baales, which was held in Abeokuta.

“I’ve heard that the state has 1,700 Baales registered. Additionally, I’ve heard that more than 1,700 people have not yet registered.

I beg those who haven’t registered to do so because otherwise our administration would consider them to be unregistered Baales. Let them go and meet their required authority so they may also become registered Baales.

He spoke.

Abiodun also said that his government will explore the need for a state-wide payment scheme for baales with the state’s Council of Traditional Rulers.

Throughout addition, he said, his government would investigate a mechanism to pay the traditional council and make sure that a certain portion of the money went for baales in the state.

However, he instructed the Council of Baales to inform their constituents of the need of obtaining a Permanent Voter’s Card.

Abiodun advised them once again to forbid any type of thuggery in their surroundings.
