NEWS JUST IN! Man United hires a fresh goalkeeper

For the rest of the season, Manchester United has taken on loan goalkeeper Jack Butland from Crystal Palace.

After Newcastle United cut short Martin Dubravka’s loan stint, United manager Erik ten Hag needed a backup goalkeeper for David de Gea.

Butland, who has nine appearances for England, has been a member of Crystal Palace since 2020 but has not yet made a start this year.

Butland, 29, added, “This is a fantastic club, and one that I am now pleased to represent.

The goalkeeping staff at Old Trafford also includes Tom Heaton, who signed from Aston Villa in 2021 and has three England appearances.
