In preparation for their Premier League matchup against Tottenham on Thursday, Manchester City’s playmaker Kevin De Bruyne skipped their Tuesday training session.

The team of Pep Guardiola is attempting to recover from their weekend 2-1 loss to Manchester United.

The champions are now eight points behind league leaders Arsenal, who defeated rivals from North London Tottenham 2-0 on Sunday.

Prior to their encounter against Spurs, City practiced on Tuesday morning, but De Bruyne was not there.

But John Stones and Ruben Dias, who were not there for the derby loss at Old Trafford, participated in the workout.
