When Lionel Messi comes home, he is welcomed as a hero.

After guiding Argentina to World Cup victory, Lionel Messi was welcomed home to Rosario with a heroes’ welcome.

After being compelled to leave his team’s victory parade earlier in the day due to safety fears, the 35-year-old visited his hometown for the first time since winning the World Cup on Sunday.

Following the parade, Messi was brought home by his wife Antonella Roccuzzo in a vehicle after being carried back by helicopter from Rosario, some 185 miles away, in Buenos Aires.

Hundreds of supporters cheered and chanted “Dale Campeon,” which roughly translates to “Let’s go champion,” as Messi arrived.

Security had moved the happy supporters to the sidelines to make room for his wife to drive the automobile into the centre and into a structure.

Messi began his football career playing for Newell’s Old Boys, a local team in Rosario, where he was also born.

When Messi was 13 years old, his family moved to Barcelona, and it was there that he established himself as one of the best players in history.

The celebrity, who is now playing for Paris Saint-Germain, nevertheless often returns to Rosario and his house, which is located on a gated estate named Kentucky in Funes.

The enormous residence, which was constructed on three adjacent plots of land in a gated private estate outside the football player’s hometown of Rosario, contains a gigantic movie theater, a gym, and an underground parking garage with enough for 15 vehicles.

It was a great occasion for Argentina’s citizens, particularly those in Rosario who had been hoping that Messi would succeed Diego Maradona in bringing Argentina its first World Cup since 1986.

After their homecoming parade in Buenos Aires was curtailed owing to safety concerns, Argentina’s World Cup-winning heroes had to be evacuated into helicopters.

At a parade organized to commemorate their triumph against France in the championship, Lionel Messi and company were greeted as heroes by more than four million passionate supporters.

But the procession was quickly abandoned as it became evident that individuals were leaping over bridges to place themselves on top of the bus and others on the ground, making it impossible for the bus to continue on its journey.
