Chelsea has been persuaded by Enzo Fernandez to make a permanent deal with Joao Felix.
Felix left Atletico Madrid for Chelsea in January for a loan fee of £9.7 million, and Fernandez called his teammate “a wonderful player.”
Felix has played four times for Chelsea so far, scoring one goal, but Fernandez thinks the 23-year-old still has more to offer.
He phoned me when I came here to see if he could be of any assistance, Fernandez, who also joined Chelsea during the January transfer window, said to The Guardian. On the field, it helps when you get along with someone.
He’s very good, isn’t he? Let’s hope Chelsea can do all they can to hang onto him.
Felix has expressed the possibility that he may decide to remain at Stamford Bridge.
Felix has made some positive progress since making his comeback from a three-game suspension after receiving a red card on his debut against Fulham.
Felix mentioned the increased freedom Chelsea has given him.
Felix said to Eleven Portugal that Chelsea’s style of play and the position he plays vary from Atletico’s. It’s obvious that I have more flexibility to practice football and to give my all for the squad.
