Barcelona Is Still Interested In Midfielder From Croatia And Inter.

Due to the Ivory Coast international’s refusal to leave Camp Nou and Inter Milan’s need for further funds, Marcelo Brozovic’s January transfer window move to Barcelona as part of a swap deal with Franck Kessié did not materialize.

But, the Croatian midfielder has every reason to quit soccer this summer, and the Catalan club is still in touch with his team, according to “Corriere dello Sport.”

Brozovic has extensive international experience and is regarded as a complete player. Due to his playing style, Barça believed that Kessié’s contribution may be surpassed by him in January. As a result, they were in favor of attempting a swap that had Brozovic’s full approval but was unable to be fulfilled.

While they are well aware that Inter will continue to make an effort to sign Kessié in June, Barça has no intention of allowing him to depart on a loan with a purchase option. Because of this, they only see a swap involving an Inter player as being realistic, and Brozovic would work in terms of value and athletic requirements.

Inter, who were more hesitant to allow him to depart in January, may now be open to exploring this option given the Croatian’s strained relationship with the team. Should the midfielder be forced to quit Inter, Chelsea and Real Madrid are apparently also interested in signing him.
