Barcelona Flaunts Their New Uniform

When they take on Real Madrid in the Clasico on March 19, Rosalia Barcelona will wear uniforms with the singer Rosalia’s emblem.

 

For the first Clasico of the season, Spotify forfeited their spot on the jersey to make room for Drake’s owl logo.

 

Being the first artist to reach 50 billion streams on the site, the Canadian singer’s logo was shown. In the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid defeated the opposition 3-1.

 

As they attempt to increase their advantage at the top of La Liga to 12 points on Sunday, the most recent cooperation will see the Catalan singer’s studio album logo embroidered over the front of the uniform.

 

The club published a promotional video with the kit hanging up in a dimly lit room with a butterfly flying about it on Wednesday to announce the news on social media.

 

The club tweeted: “Calling all MOTOCULERS – Gear up, Rosalia is on our team this #ElClásico. 19/03/2023.” This was a play on the album’s title and the colloquial word for Barcelona fans.

 

Rosalia was chosen by Barça and Sportify because her album Motomami, which was published one year ago this month, pushed the frontiers of modern music, they said.

 

But, fans will have to pay almost £350 if they want to get a limited edition jersey. For £1746.25, an even more special edition that has been personally autographed by the starters for both the men’s and women’s Clasicos will be made available.

 

Barcelona said that the Drake deal included a streaming service that would provide “novel experiences for football fans” and “assist in reaching new audiences via music,” among other things.

 

The La Liga giants guaranteed that further artists’ logos would emerge as the season went on.

 

The Barcelona-born singer, 30, is regarded as one of Spain’s most well-known musicians.

 

Rosalia has received several accolades during her career, including two Grammys and eight Latin Grammys. She has also twice been recognized by Forbes as Spain’s most powerful woman.

 

In June, Barcelona and Spotify announced their formal collaboration. For the next four seasons, the streaming service will sponsor the club’s senior jerseys as well as the gear of the club’s professional academies.

 

As part of the agreement, the club’s 99,354-seat stadium was given the new name Spotify Camp Nou, which significantly helped the financially distressed team.

 

Barcelona now leads archrival Real Madrid in La Liga by nine points despite their financial difficulties.

 

A victory in the Clasico on March 19 would be a significant milestone in Xavi’s team’s quest to win the championship for the first time since the 2018–19 campaign.
