Martinez’s World Cup antics cause Di Maria and Adil Rami to argue.

Due to Emiliano Martinez’s contentious actions during the World Cup final, there has been another argument, this time between Angel Di Maria and Adil Rami, the goalkeeper’s teammate.

The Aston Villa goalkeeper was essential in Argentina’s victory against France to win the title in Qatar earlier this month. He made a crucial save in extra time before turning aside Kingsley Coman’s penalty in the shootout and raucously celebrated after.

Rami, a 2018 World Cup champion for France, then referred to Martinez as “the greatest s*** in football,” but Di Maria, who scored in the championship game, has now responded.

Following a contentious championship, the 36-year-old Troyes center back turned to social media to express his displeasure with Martinez’s actions, which included making a vulgar gesture with the Golden Glove trophy that was given out following the game.

Martinez’s flamboyant and confrontational celebrations during the shootout also featured aggressive behavior intended to frighten the players from France.

During the Argentina coach’s post-match celebrations in the nation’s capital, Buenos Aires, he also carried a Kylian Mbappe doll to ridicule the PSG striker whose hat-trick was insufficient to win the match. Later, France filed a formal complaint.

On his Instagram page, Rami also referred to the 30-year-old as “the most loathed guy,” but Juventus winger Di Maria, who scored in the championship game, responded violently.

El Dibu (Martinez) is the world’s top goalie, he said. Go weep somewhere else.

Before asking “Can you teach me?” on Twitter, Rami displaying four images of Angel Di Maria sobbing with the following captions: “When you lose,” “When you win,” “When you leave a club,” and “When you see this tweet.”

Leandro Paredes and German Pezzella, Martinez’s teammates, also retaliated against Rami following his remarks, with Paredes saying: “Now say it without weeping Rami.”
