Young Arsenal midfielder Charlie Patino is being watched by Barcelona.

Charlie Patino, a 19-year-old midfielder on loan from Arsenal and currently playing for Championship team Blackpool, has caught the attention of Barcelona. His contract expires next summer.

Patino, a Watford native with a father from Spain, joined Arsenal when he was 12 years old and made his first team debut against Sunderland in the League Cup last December, scoring.

Later, he participated in the FA Cup as well, but a subsequent injury prevented him from making his Arsenal Premier League debut.

He is now on loan at Blackpool, where he has made 15 appearances, two goals, and two assists so far this season.

Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, is closely monitoring his development and trying to persuade him to extend his contract, which was signed in October 2020, but he is aware that other clubs, including Barça, are also interested.

Patino, a midfielder with good vision, a great left foot, and the ability to break down defenses, currently plays for the England U20s but has been contacted by the Spanish Federation. Andres Iniesta and Santi Cazorla are his heroes.
