Just 18 months ago, Man Utd and Tottenham rejected £3M “Monster Min.”

Kim Min-jae, a superb defender for Napoli, was just 18 months ago offered to Manchester United for a bargain price.

According to The Mirror, when Chinese side Beijing Sinobo Guoan chose to cash in on Min-jae, he drew attention from both United and Spurs. Min-jae was one of his country’s best players during the World Cup in Qatar.

While Premier League competitors hesitated, Fenerbahce swooped in and brought him to Turkey for the asking price of £3 million. They made a profit of more than 400% when they sold him to Napoli for £16 million a year later.

Old Trafford fans are now wondering why the team didn’t pursue the 26-year-old who has shown to be a more than capable substitute for Kalidou Koulibaly, who departed for Chelsea.

Napoli’s 6ft 3in player, known as “The Monster,” has helped the team to the top of Serie A.

However, a £38 million release clause in his contract has made the Italians open to offers from an increasing number of suitors, including Real Madrid as of late.
