It’s Possible That Emiliano “Dibu” Martnez Won’t Rejoin Aston Villa.

Martnez may sign with Bayern Munich, who is searching for a replacement for Manuel Neuer after the German sustained a season-ending injury while on vacation.

Following a breakthrough performance with Argentina in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Emiliano “Dibu” Martnez earned the Golden Glove. He was instrumental in save penalties in the shootout in the championship game against France. His valiant performance in net throughout the competition enabled Argentina to win their third world championship and first since 1986.

Future plans for Dibu are not at Aston Villa.

When the second half of the Premier League season starts on Boxing Day, December 26, Martnez must return to Aston Villa and reunite with the rest of his teammates. The 30-year-old is anticipated to resume training in early January after enjoying himself after winning the World Cup, but his agency has made it clear that the Premier League may not be in his future.

Although the international player from Argentina still has five years remaining on his Villa deal, his representative Gustavo Goni revealed that Dibu has multiple offers on the table. Martinez’s agent discussed with TuttoMercatoWeb the potential for his client to go to either the Serie A or the Bundesliga.

Currently, only a few few clubs can afford a goalie like him (Martinez). But why not Serie A instead? For the Champions League, obviously,” Goni remarked.

Given that Manuel Neuer will miss the balance of the season due to an injury sustained while skiing while on vacation after representing Germany at the World Cup, joining Dibu at German powerhouse Bayern Munich during the winter transfer window is another option.

For Bayern, this would be the ideal acquisition since Martnez has established himself as a dependable goalkeeper with extensive experience. The German superpowers, who are presently competing in the Champions League, are among the favorites to win it this year.
