Owner John Henry Says The Liverpool Football Club Is Not Up For Sale.
John Henry, the owner of Liverpool, said he is not selling the Premier League team, although he does anticipate some investment.
The Reds’ owners since 2010, Henry’s Fenway Sports Group (FSG), indicated in November that they “would entertain new shareholders.”
Later, Tom Werner, the chairman of FSG, said that the club’s owners were “exploring a sale” but may “maintain their management for quite a long.”
Is LFC being sold? Henry said, “No,” to the Boston Sports Journal.
Are you discussing the LFC with investors? Yes. Will there be an event there? While I think so, there won’t be a sale.
