At the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan, Tunisia held Denmark to a draw in their World Cup first match.

The highly anticipated Danes were put through a rigorous workout in Group D despite playing a number of Premier League regulars.

Offside rulings prevented goals for both teams, while Andreas Cornelius of Denmark miraculously missed from a yard away.

Referee Cesar Ramos examined the pitchside monitor in the 95th minute over a possible Denmark penalty for handball, but ultimately decided to uphold his initial ruling and give a goal-kick.

In order for Denmark, one of the pre-tournament favorites, to advance from a group that also included World Cup champion France, they will need to regain their form.
