The PSG manager asserts that he “does NOT have to persuade Kylian Mbappe to remain.”

Despite significant rumors that the French winger may leave to Real Madrid, Christophe Galtier has said that he “does not need to persuade Kylian Mbappe” to remain at the team.

Paris Saint-Germain was eliminated from the Champions League after losing to Bayern Munich 2-0 on Wednesday night, with the Bundesliga team winning the match 3-0 overall.

The 24-year-old, who participated in the whole 90 minutes of that round-of-16 match, has apparently been a target for the Galacticos for some time, with sources claiming that in September of last year, Mbappe left the door ‘wide open’ for Real to come and acquire him.

The World Cup winner’s contract with PSG is slated to expire in 2025, therefore according to the PSG manager, Mbappe doesn’t need any convincing to continue with the team.

Galtier remarked in a news conference before to their Ligue 1 encounter against Brest on Saturday, “I do not have to strive to persuade Kylian [to remain].

Kylian has said it himself, but if you had questioned any other athlete, he would have been in the same emotional condition after being eliminated—very unhappy.

Regarding Kylian [Mbappe], he makes it clear that he plays for PSG in every match. He is really committed to doing well and succeeding so that he can assist the club reach its highest level.

Mbappe, who has scored 30 goals for the Parisians in all competitions, received a 3/10 rating from French publication L’Equippe for his performance in Wednesday’s defeat despite Galtier’s remarks about his desire to perform.

Mbappe seems to still be a long-time goal for Real Madrid after turning down the Spanish giants last summer by signing a new three-year contract with the Parisians, despite failing to assist his team advance to the quarterfinals.

But, concerns are beginning to surface over his future at the Parc des Princes, as well as those of his colleagues Messi and Neymar. According to some sources, Galtier may only have one of his star-studded front three available to him at the conclusion of the season.

According to those rumors, a “fractious mess” is allegedly starting to develop within the organization, which may be about to face a time of change after their sad Champions League departure, and the PSG manager himself may also leave.

Neymar had surgery on his right ankle, according to PSG, who also announced that he will miss the remainder of the season.

Messi, meanwhile, will be a free agent this summer. Although PSG is still hopeful that they can keep its World Cup champion, rumors are swirling that he may leave the team for Inter Miami of the Major League Soccer.

Another player whose contract expires at the conclusion of the current campaign is Sergio Ramos, and while discussing the two, Galtier seems unconcerned with their present circumstances.

The player said, “No, there is no question that these two [Messi and Ramos] are tremendous players, with a fantastic record of successes, and are capable of handling this sort of circumstance.

They were “accustomed to eliminations” since they had gone through them throughout their professional careers and understood how to win this [Champions League] title.

These are athletes of the highest caliber who switch matches rapidly. These are persons who are used to handling this sort of circumstance with regard to their personal and commercial situations.
