Brazilian striker GABRIEL Jesus of Arsenal had successful surgery

Gabriel Jesus, a forward for Arsenal, underwent successful surgery for the knee problem that kept him out of the rest of Brazil’s World Cup run.

During Friday’s 1-0 loss to Cameroon, the 25-year-old and his international teammate Alex Telles both suffered injuries to their right knees.

After two previous substitute appearances, it was his first starting position in Qatar.

Jesus will now begin a rehabilitation program, but Arsenal did not specify when he would return.

An Arsenal statement read, “Everyone at the club is supporting Gabby and will be working hard to get him back on the pitch as soon as possible.”
