Wike Solicits Support For Fubara

Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, has urged people to support Siminialayi Fubara, the PDP’s candidate for governor, and Prof. Ngozi Odu, Fubara’s running mate, on the grounds that they would make the state safer.

The governor said that the PDP candidate for governor and his deputy are both seasoned technocrats with the necessary knowledge of how government functions and are now able to build on the accomplishments gained while continuing on the same development strides.

At yesterday’s Rivers State PDP campaign flag-off for Omuma Council, Wike addressed at the Kelechi Nwogu Legacy Stadium. He remembers making promises that have all been kept in terms of the development projects in the region when he requested the Omuma people to vote for him as governor in 2015 and 2019.

In the same spirit, Wike said he had returned to beg for their support in the Fubara election because it would ensure more infrastructure development for them.

In his address, Fubara urged the Omuma people to be ready to take advantage of the party’s current offers by mobilizing their support for the consolidation team with their ballots.

If elected, Fubara stated his emphasis will be on creating and enhancing the human capital that would drive growth in the region. Felix Obuah, the director general of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council, praised the Omuma people for their commitment to casting 100% of the votes necessary to guarantee election success for the party’s consolidation team.
