Wike Adds That We Would Support A Guy Of Integrity For President.

Nyesom Wike, the governor of Wike Rivers State, has said that he and his political supporters would only support a presidential candidate who is seen as having integrity, keeping his word, and who will not back out of any agreements made.

He made this statement yesterday at a rally hosted by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) state branch in Rumuji-Odegwe town to launch its campaign in Emohua Council.

Leaders of the state, such Ohna Sergeant Awuse, who said that supporters in the state were impatiently awaiting instructions on the presidential election, were urged by him to maintain their patience since the choice of the chosen presidential candidate will soon be made.

We’re sick of waiting, Awuse had previously said. We are certainly fed up with waiting.

The governor responded by saying, “Don’t worry. You have shown patience. We won’t take your patience for granted. Soon, the bell will sound. When you hear the bell, pay attention to where it is coming from and proceed to carry out the instructions.

“We will give these vampires and buccaneers a lesson, I can tell you of that. We will remind everyone who thought Rivers State is not relevant that the state is significant. We will play with you if you play with us. We will play with them if they play with us. There has been enough.

The governor praised Siminialayi Fubara, the PDP’s nominee for governor, saying that he was a member of his administration, was familiar with government procedures, and was ready to build on the successes already achieved.

In his speech, Fubara commended the Emohua people for their display of unity and asked for their support in his campaign for governor.

Chief Dan Orbih, National Vice Chairman of the PDP for the South-South Zone, said in his address that Wike received a performance rating of 99.9% in an evaluation conducted by a team at the PDP zonal office.

Desmond Akawor, the PDP chairman for Rivers State, gave flags to each candidate running for an elected seat there.
