To Stop The Stream Of Trafficking, Naptip Expands Its Internet Campaign.

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has again partnered with the Canadian High Commission in Nigeria to intensify its digital campaign and increase visibility of the agency and its partners through the deployment of an e-learning (electronic learning) hub as a repository for knowledge about combating human trafficking. This partnership aims to further boost strategic interventions targeted at controlling the scourge of human trafficking in Nigeria.

Professor Fatima Waziri-Azi, the director general of NAPTIP, said this yesterday in Abuja at a news conference held jointly by the organization and the Canadian High Commission.

She said that the e-hub is a component of the new partnership initiative created to gradually combat human trafficking, particularly among young people in rural and urban disadvantaged regions since these groups of individuals are more at danger.

Her claim that the partnership has furthered the idea that “We can only win this fight by working together with a common vision and this partnership will enable Nigeria to keep pace with an accelerated world and also set the pace for other nations to follow in this global fight against human trafficking” is supported by the fact that “we can only win this fight by working together with a common vision.”

The redesign and development of the NAPTIP iReport mobile app, a tool for reporting cases of human trafficking, child labor, and violence against persons crimes, are among the impactful activities we anticipate will result from this project, the second phase of the NAPTIP on The Move Campaign. As a result, this partnership with the Canadian High Commission is important to support the campaign.
