Buhari Bestows The Title Of Ambassador-in-situ To 115 Foreign Officers.

One hundred and fifteen foreign officers have been given the designation of ambassador-in-situ by President Muhammadu Buhari in recognition of their services to the country’s growth and economy.

On Friday, Deputy Director-level serving officers were given letters of conferment from the President by Minister of Foreign Affairs Geoffrey Onyeama.

According to Onyeama, Buhari was honoring and recognizing the Foreign Service Officers for their dedication, efforts, and participation in luring foreign investments to boost the country’s economy.

He said that because to their efforts to inspire Nigeria’s foreign policy and diplomacy, Nigeria enjoys good ties and is at peace with other nations.

“It is an acknowledgement of the effort and success put forth. Some of the people honored today are retired, while others are active foreign officers.

So, despite the fact that they are retired, Mr. President has chosen to recognize everyone who has accomplished a specific degree of service and bestow upon them the title of Ambassador-in-Situ.
