Terrorists attack villages in Birnin Gwari and murder security personnel.

At a checkpoint on Sunday, hundreds of terrorists invaded two towns in Birnin Gwari and massacred dozens of security personnel, including members of the civil defense, police, military, and vigilante groups.

Abubakar Kakangi, a local, informed media yesterday that the affected villages include Kubau and Unguwan Zakara.

Kakangi claims that the villagers and the bandits have come to terms in order for the residents to be able to cultivate.

However, he said that the bandits often travelled through the communities in order to sell stolen cows, which the security personnel find annoying.

“A child who was taking care of their animals was slain by security personnel three weeks ago. The killing of the local youngster had upset the bandits, he said.

As a result, on Sunday, the bandits attacked the Aka security checkpoint on the Birnin-Gwari to Kakangi/Randagi route in the western section of the Birnin-Gwari Council.

The assault happened at 2:00 p.m. Numerous security people, including members of the Civil Defence Corps, police, vigilantes, and soldiers, were slain during the bandits’ simultaneous attacks on the two villages after dividing into two groups, Kakangi reported.

The police, other security organizations, or the state government had not released a comment as of the time this story was filed.

According to accounts, the civil defense workers who were attacked during the incident were escorting an expat to a mining location.

“I believe eight of them were tasked with guarding the expatriate,” he stated. The only survivor of the incident had serious wounds.

“Both the deceased bodies and the wounded person were taken to Barau Dikko. On the foreigner, no details were given.

When approached, the Kaduna command of Civil Defence’s spokesman, however, refused to respond, stating that “a statement will be published tomorrow.”

DSP Muhammed Jalige, the Kaduna Police Command’s spokesperson, was unable to answer calls seeking his remarks on the assault and deaths of security personnel.
