Shehu Sani Declares That Any Authority Derived From A Rigged Election Is Not Divine

Former federal legislator and senator Shehu Sani responded by implying that God supported every victor in the recently held general elections.

Several politicians, especially those from the governing party, have urged Nigerians to accept the election results, claiming that they reflect God’s will.

But, many in the position party, like Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, argued that the results of the elections were not God’s will and urged Nigerians to reject them.

According to Obi’s remarks on Arise TV,

“Nigeria’s issue is that it tolerates undesirable behavior. God does not want that. God desires for you to act morally.

Shehu Sani, a former politician, said in a similar vein that “authority acquired through manipulated election is not from God.”

As stated by Senator Sani in a post on his verified Facebook page, “when they purchase votes, falsify data, and rig elections, they will bring in religion to wash and legitimize their wickedness; they want you to think that power is from God.”
