Nwamini Will Testify Tomorrow, According Ekweremadu.

Tomorrow, when their accuser testifies for the Crown Prosecution, the conspiracy to facilitate and organize travel with the intent to exploit trial of former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu and three others—including his wife, Beatrice, and their daughter, Sonia—will reach a boiling point.

The 21-year-old will not, however, be present in person in the Old Bailey courtroom. Nwamini, who was requested to return to Nigeria in May because he wasn’t a good match as a donor for Sonia, was the one who caused the Ekweremadus’ detention on June 21. He will testify via video connection to protect his identity.

His testimony’s importance to the case was made clear in court on Friday, after the judge had dismissed the 12 jurors for the weekend and told them to “enjoy yourself” rather to “look for the case online.”

The Senator’s team and Dr. Obinna Obeta’s demanded to know the format, which caused conflict between the Senator’s side and the defense and the Crown.

One of Ekweremadu’s two attorneys sparked the discussion by asking the question, “Whether the Police are able to portray the response of Nwamini for the jury to observe,” when the interview is played. Obeta’s attorney spoke for her when she said that the defense wanted to know how Nwamini’s witness was treated. She said that “he is the sole witness who indicated he was given money for his body part,” underlining the significance of her statement.
