“Nigerians Have Lost Sight Of The Fact That They Are Stronger Together” (SEE DETAILS)

There are a lot of other nations, and I think that the whole world is interested in the history that Nigerians will write. Our leaders need to recognize that Nigeria is the only nation we can call home, and that this time, we must do all possible to do it right.

As the degree of instability escalates, do you have any concerns about Nigeria’s cohesion and continued existence as a corporate entity?

No. I’m not afraid because I understand that Nigerians can succeed without assistance from outside of Africa. We have what it takes to put an end to the violence and instability plaguing Nigeria and Africa. Our current state of insecurity is becoming worse for a purpose, and that reason is to bring us all together in calling for a shared objective—peace. Nigerians are requesting peace in their country and across Africa for the first time in our nation’s history. When we were resolving issues in the Niger Delta, I informed the public that our authorities did not take us seriously (Foundation for Peace and Non Violence in Nigeria). I am certain that the greatest strategy for addressing the insecurity we are now seeing in Nigeria is discussion.

What do you think will happen in the main political parties’ primaries for president?

I don’t enjoy becoming engaged in politics, but with all I am witnessing, I hope this time will be different. This younger generation is starting to realize their value and the role they must play in helping the nation produce strong leaders who will improve the quality of life for everybody.

Do you believe Nigeria can be fixed by the present crop of presidential candidates?

Yes, I really think, and Peter Obi is that guy in my opinion.

Are you able to forecast Nigeria’s future under President Muhammadu Buhari?

If the government allows voting to take place and results to be counted, Nigeria would once again be great and peaceful for everybody.

Do you agree that the Federal Government is the Niger Delta’s worst enemy?

No. I don’t think the government is the issue. The people themselves are the issue because they do not recognize their own responsibility for improving their own future and for all that occurs in their community as a whole. The people, not the government, are to blame.
