If You Don’t Vote, Abide By The Results — Cleric

Evangelist Allayes Violence Fears Following the 2023 Elections

Maxwell Anikwenwa, Emeritus Archbishop and Dean of the Church of Nigeria in the Anglican Communion, has urged eligible voters to get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in order to take part in the general elections of 2023.

This was expressed by Anikwenwa yesterday during the dedication of Our Saviour’s Church in Awka, Anambra State, by Most Rev. Alexander Ibezim, Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger.

Regardless of their religious beliefs, the priest urged every Nigerian to cast a ballot and cautioned those who chose not to do so not to complain if the results were unfavorable.

“Every Nigerian should register and get their PVCs in order to fulfill their civic duty, regardless of their religious views.

Every Nigerian citizen has a responsibility to exercise their right to vote in elections. Nobody should complain if they don’t contribute to this crucial task.

“Whether the conclusion is in your favor or not, you did your part. You don’t need to be concerned. But if you didn’t vote, you shouldn’t be upset about it; it’s that easy, he continued.

Ibezim exhorted the audience not to let difficulties in life prevent them from worshiping and doing duties for God earlier in his sermon, “Never give up.”

Don’t let obstacles in your life prevent you from worshiping Jesus, he said, and don’t grumble if you’re asked to help out around the church since serving God is a privilege.

He thanked the parishioners for their contributions to the development and growth of the church and pleaded with them not to give up, particularly in light of the planned vicarage.

In an interview, Chief Chukwuemeka Orjiakor, the chairman of the dedication committee, urged the congregation to help fund the building and completion of the vicarage.

Evangelist Ekunola Davies, the Minister-in-Charge of Ekunola Davies Ministry International, has advised Nigerians not to act out their anxieties over the 2018 elections.

Speaking to media yesterday in Lagos at the “Fire Conference” for ministers, he promised that the country will not suffer any harm.

“Nigeria is the nation of God. Inferentially, the nation’s troublemakers will experience problems. There will be serenity after the elections. We are also asking the Lord to restore the Nigerian government and economy, the man said.

He stated, in reference to Nigerians fleeing the nation in quest of “greener pastures,” “The land and everything that is in it belongs to God. God’s children are free to go anywhere they choose. In Nigeria, there are people of diverse ethnicities, including Chinese, Americans, and Indians. We are all owners of the planet.

He revealed that on January 13, 2023, the church would host its annual Genesis Team Annual Crusade at Rehoboth Prayer Mountain, Ilaro Road, Ogun State.

He stated that The Ekunola Davies Ministry was the first native Celestial Church of Christ ministry that concentrated on revival, preaching, and deliverance under the subject “And the Lord came unto him.”
