Gov. Ayade Proclaims Days Off From Work For Collecting Pvc

Cross River Governor Ben Ayade has authorized Jan. 26 and Jan. 27 as work-free days in the state so that government officials and other public employees may get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

This information may be found in a statement made public on Friday in Calabar by Mr. Eric Anderson, Commissioner for Information and Orientation.

The work-free days, according to Ayade, were required so that state citizens could fully participate in the 2023 general election, which is slated for February 25 and March 11.

The governor advises civil and public employees in the State to make use of the work-free days to get their PVCs in order to ensure that their votes are counted during the elections.

To the public’s benefit, the government wants to make it clear that even if the days are free from work, people are still required to acquire their PVCs and not simply stay at home.

“It is crucial that the general population get their PVCs in order to make their votes in the next election count.

The governor emphasized, “Your PVC is the road to ensuring genuine elections, get yours immediately.”

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the country’s current PVC collecting program would come to a close on January 29.
