Buhari Swears In Seven Members Of The ICPC Board.

Seven board members of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences have been sworn in by President Muhammadu Buhari (ICPC).

 

On Wednesday, the swearing-in ceremony was held at the State House’s council chamber in Abuja.

 

Retired Judge Adamu Bello (Katsina), Hannatu Mohammed (Jigwa), Olubukola Balogun (Lagos), Obiora Samuel Igwedibia (Anambra), Abdullahi Saidu (Niger), Yahaya Umar Dauda (Nasarawa), and Grace Chinyere are among the reappointed ICPC board members (Rivers).

 

The president officially swore in the seven board members for the first time in 2019, and they were given another four-year term that expires in March 2027.

 

At the inauguration were the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the President’s Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, and the National Security Advisor, Babagana Monguno (Rtd).

 

The Minister of Power, Abubakar Aliyu; the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; the Ministers of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed; Labor and Employment, Chris Ngige; Agriculture, Mahmood Mohammed; Environment, Mohammed Abdullahi; Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu; and the Minister of State for Health, Olorunimbe Mamora, are among the others.
