Buhari And Malami Are Pleaded Upon To Obey The Supreme Court By Tinubu And Apc Officials.

The governing All Progressives Congress (APC) has appealed with President Muhammadu Buhari to abide by the Supreme Court’s order intended to ease the current financial crisis in the polity ahead of Saturday’s presidential election.

At an emergency meeting conducted at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja yesterday, the stance was broadly accepted by the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and members of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), headed by Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State.

The Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, need to weigh in on the matter, according to Senator Abdullahi Adamu, national chairman of the APC, who briefed media on the conclusion of the meeting conducted in secret.

The appeal, according to Adamu, was made in order to lessen the suffering that Nigerians have experienced as a result of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s naira swap program (CBN).

“A conference of APC governors was conducted today, and the leadership of our party’s National Working Committee (NWC) was called. At the conclusion of the meeting, we reached the following decision, which has no bearing on the Supreme Court dispute involving the redesign of the currency.

We take very seriously the fact that the Nigerian people and the country’s economy are facing enormous challenges as a result of the program and its execution.

We urge the AGF and the CBN Governor to abide by the ongoing interim injunction issued by the Supreme Court. The gathering is requesting that Mr. President become involved in tackling the problems that are giving the economy such serious problems.

Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna, Simon Lalong of Plateau, Yahaya Bello of Kogi, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa, Muhammed Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe, Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, and Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti were among the APC governor
