A Premier League Team Fires Its Manager

Jesse Marsch has been fired as manager of Leeds United.

After a recent string of disappointing outcomes, the manager was let go.

Since November 5, 2022, Leeds has not won a Premier League game, and the American manager who succeeded Marcelo Bielsa last season has been given the door.

They are now 17th in the Premier League rankings, barely outside the relegation zone on goal differential, and their 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest on Sunday was the last straw.

The dismissal was confirmed in a short statement issued by the team on Monday, along with the announcement of the replacement later in the week.
