Significant Loss For PDP As 1,500 Members Switch To APC In Jigawa State

In Ilirowa village, Buji Local Government, Jigawa State, more than 1,500 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members have switched to the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).

Siraja Muhammad Kantoga, a member of the State Assembly who represents the Birnin Kudu seat, welcomed the decampees on Monday and expressed his appreciation for their choice to leave the PDP.

They will get the same treatment as all other party members, the member, who was represented by his coordinator Nura Suleiman Jidawa, promised.

However, he asked them to put in a lot of effort to help the party win the future general elections in 2023.

“Ilirowa Village is one of the PDP’s strongholds, and I’m certain that with this development, there won’t be any PDP left in the region.”

He spoke.

Malam Lasisi, speaking on behalf of the decampees, said that they chose the APC over the PDP due to its effective policies and plans for the growth of the State and the nation.
