Youths To NNPCL: End Petroleum Scarcity

The Arewa Youths Alliance for Progress and Development (AYAPD) has counseled Kolo Mele Kyari, the NNPCL’s Group Chief Executive Officer, and the Managing Director of Duke Oil, the NNPCL’s official trading firm, to resolve the nation’s catastrophic fuel shortage.

In a statement, Comrade James Ishaku, Secretary of the Arewa Youths Alliance for Progress and Development (AYAPD), said that the oil firm has done nothing to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians.

The declaration read:

The situation has essentially stayed the same, according to our study of the 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory. The impacted governmental employees who are in charge of maintaining energy security have decided it is not essential to respond politely or attempt to lessen the load on Nigerians.

“We shall address the media and announce our next line of civil actions to press for the compensation for Nigerians whose means of transportation and feeding were harmed by the bad fuel, ensure adequate supply of PMS so as to suppress inflation, and guarantee the security of lives of Nigerians amidst [the] threat of terror attack,” the statement reads.

The youngsters consequently invited Nigerians who have not yet received compensation for car damage caused by the imported PMS polluted with methanol to join the team on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Duke Oil’s headquarters, which is situated at No. 25 Mississippi Street Maitama, Abuja.
