The “Best Packaged Fraud” is Peter Obi, said Sowore
|Before the general elections in 2023, the African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore called Peter Obi of the Labour Party the greatest packaged scam for Nigerians.
In response to Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s assertion on Channels TV on Thursday night that he was unaware of any investments made by any of his predecessors in the state, Sowore made this statement.
Obi, who served as the governor of Anambra State from 2006 to 2014, claimed to have invested millions of dollars on behalf of the state in International Breweries Plc, a division of Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), a global beverage and brewing conglomerate headquartered in Leuven, Belgium.
Nevertheless, Soludo said on Channels TV’s Politics Today that Obi’s alleged investment of N1,955,535,247.00 (equal to around $12,616,356.43 at the time at the average CBN exchange rate of N155.00/$1) is worth almost nothing.
“I guess I read something about someone speculating on whatever investment,” Governor Soludo said. The value of those assets is worth almost nothing after what I’ve witnessed today. So let’s disregard it.
“Charles Chukwuma Soludo @CCSoludo revealing and unraveling @PeterObi on @channelstv over his fraudulent investment portfolios,” Sowore posted on his Twitter profile in response. He said that Peter Obi is the “best packaged” scam and that his “purported investments are close to nothing”! @TakeItBack, “#WeCantContinueLikeThis.”
