Soon, Ogun will get drones, according to Abiodun

The governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has announced that his government would soon get drones to improve security and help security agents monitor the state’s recognized “black areas.”

In order to fight abduction, banditry, armed robbery, and other crimes committed on the highway, he emphasized that the drones will be used specifically on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

At the unveiling of the 2023 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem at the Governor’s Office in Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, the governor dropped these hints.

Abiodun said that plans were in the works to cooperate with senior law enforcement officials to work with the state by aiding with training, assistance, and fund-raising. He reaffirmed that his government will continue to identify methods to support security forces in the state.

“The drones we bought will be delivered to us shortly. This would enable us to keep an eye on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and any other locations where criminal activity occurs.

“We’ll keep looking for people who want to work with us. I just met with two high-ranking law enforcement officials, and they have chosen to collaborate with us by helping with fundraising, training, and assistance. In the coming weeks, I will publicly disclose and introduce these individuals to you.

Therefore, he gave the Nigeria Legion N10 million on behalf of the state government and instructed its staff to continue carrying out their responsibilities as such.

The governor urged Nigerians to use the opportunity presented by remembering the nation’s dead heroes to show their appreciation for their efforts by taking care of their immediate family members, emphasizing that they shouldn’t be allowed to suffer in solitude.
