President Buhari explains “Why I Met With King Charles III in the UK.”

On November 9, President Buhari had a meeting with His Royal Majesty, King Charles III, at Buckingham Palace.

King Charles III reportedly questioned President Buhari whether he had a home in the UK in an interview with journalists after the two met.

“When King Charles III asked if I had a home in the UK, I replied that I didn’t. I am a single person living in Nigeria, and the only houses I own are those I owned before entering politics. I am not particularly interested in owning multiple houses. When I have nothing, I feel much more free,” the President said.

Regarding the reason for his visit to the revered monarch, President Buhari stated that since Nigeria is a sizable market, it makes sense to foster the commercial ties between the two nations.

“First, the meeting with the king in Kigali has been postponed due to unfortunate circumstances. He is very interested in Nigeria, perhaps as a result of our strong economy and our long-standing relationship with Britain. I believe this is why.
