The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for Lagos State has decided against conducting a fake voter accreditation procedure in six particular Local Government Areas (LGAs).
This was said in a statement released yesterday and signed by Tadese Adenike, the head of voter education and publicity.
She said that the exercise tested the BI-Modal Voter Accreditation System’s (BIVAS) efficiency in advance of the state’s general election in 2023.
She said that the operation will take place in six particular local government areas on Saturday, February 4: Ikorodu, Somolu, Eti-Osa, Surulere, Agege, and Ikeja.
Furthermore, it should be mentioned that on Saturday, February 4, 2023, between the hours of 8:30 am and 2:30 pm, the exercise will take place in two voting places in the chosen Local Government Areas.
The general people, political parties, NGOs, and CSOs are now urged to turn out in large numbers to observe and take part in the exercise in the different designated LGAs.
