JAMB requests that academic institutions join CAPS.

All tertiary institutions must sign up for the Central Processing System (CAPS) and Integrated Brochure and Syllabus System (IBASS) service platforms before January 1, 2023, according to Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Registrar Prof. Is-haq Oloyede. After that date, the board will not accept complaints from any institution via email or other channels.

Oloyede made the statement yesterday in Port Harcourt at a workshop on the usage of the IBASS, CAPS for South-South stakeholders. He said that the service platforms were developed to help the Board give quick, high-quality service.

He added that the platforms serve as a channel of communication between the board and other regulatory bodies, such as the National Universities Commission (NUC), National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE), National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), and all tertiary institutions in the nation, as well as giving candidates the necessary guidance in the selection of subjects and courses and the admissions processing.

In addition, he said that the platforms would assist to increase the ability to preserve all information processes. He pointed out that the Board’s primary priority is tackling the difficulties of documentation.

We’re here to talk to vice chancellors, provosts, rectors, registrars, admission officers, and admission officers, after all.

“We are developing a digitized platform that will enable us to save time, build an archive, and ensure that everything we do is correctly recorded.

“The main reasons we built this were to increase productivity, keep a record, and save time. We are now requiring all contact with the university about admission and curriculum to take place on this platform as of January 1, 2023. Therefore, we will no longer accept papers.
