Atletico Madrid is interested in a Premier League defender.

Defender Caglar Soyuncu of Leicester City is a target for Atletico Madrid.

Diego Simeone has made the Turkish international, who joined the Foxes in 2018, a goal as he wants to bolster his defense.

Soyuncu has made only one Premier League appearance for Leicester, and Brendan Rodgers has moved up players like Wout Faes and Daniel Amartey in the lineup.

Simeone is thus eager to sign the defender to his team in what may be a bargain deal. The 26-year-contract old’s expires at the conclusion of the current campaign.

This may make it possible for Atletico to talk to Soyuncu about a pre-contract next month. Instead of waiting until the summer, they can try to bring the defender to the Metropolitano in January. If Leicester are unable to reach an agreement on a new deal with the player, they could be ready to accept a lower sum in order to get a return on their original €21 million investment.
