What Antonio Conte Said About Why Ac Milan Beat Tottenham

Antonio Conte, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, claims that the reason AC Milan beat his club 1-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 match on Tuesday night was because the Serie A champions scored first.

Conte said that the Champions League encounter at San Siro was a “fight” from the first to the finish.

With a goal early in the first half, AC Milan took the lead against the Premier League team in the first leg.

After the game, Conte spoke with SPURSPLAY and said:

“From the beginning until the finish of the game, it was a war. Whilst I believe it was unfortunate that we let up a goal after only five minutes, the game was equal after this.

“Both sides made an effort to exert pressure by being intense. We had a terrible time playing, and Milan had a difficult time playing.

Added he,

“From the beginning to the finale, the Milan fans gave their side a lot of support. At our stadium for the second leg, I know that I can count on our supporters to support us as we strive to defeat Milan.

When Tottenham hosts AC Milan in the second leg of the match next month in England, Conte will be hoping for a turnaround.
