To continue playing for Inter, Lukaku believes he has to “find a solution with Chelsea.”

has said that he does not want to go back to his first club, Chelsea, but rather wants to remain at Inter Milan.

Prior to the 2021–22 season, the 29-year-old returned to the Blues, but despite a promising beginning, he struggled to make an impression all season.

After consulting with owner Todd Boehly, Lukaku has now claimed he will be permitted to leave Chelsea on a more permanent basis.

In an interview with Sky, Lukaku said that his friendship with his previous manager Thomas Tuchel has made him want to remain in Italy.

I want to continue playing for Inter in the future, Lukaku remarked. I want to stay because I love this club, and we’ll talk to Chelsea to try to work something out.

The Belgian striker said he had discussed his desire to leave the team with Boehly and had received permission.

The Inter striker said, “After I informed Boehly the truth about my friendship with Tuchel, he chose to let me depart.”

Following an interview the striker gave to Sky Italia in which he talked poorly of the team, Tuchel and Lukaku had a tense relationship.

Following the interview, Lukaku found it difficult to maintain a berth in Chelsea’s starting lineup, which had an effect on his performances when he did get to play.

In the summer, the striker returned to Inter on loan, and he now wants to remain with the team.

Injury has limited Lukaku’s playing time with the Italian team this season, but he will be looking to go back to his best once healthy.
