Star Striker Haaland Discloses Who Instructed Him to Join Man City

Erling Haaland, a forward for Manchester City, claims that Riyad Mahrez persuaded him to join the squad in 2021 after they met in Mykonos, Greece.

Haaland transferred from Borussia Dortmund to Man City in the summer of 2022 for an initial payment of £51 million.

For his Premier League powerhouses, the Norway international has been productive, tallying astounding 27 goals and three assists in 24 outings across competitions.

Haaland stated the following to CityTV when asked about running across Mahrez while on vacation in Mykonos in the summer of 2021:

“We didn’t talk much, but he suggested I should come to City since the vibe there was fantastic.

“And the environment you enjoy every day in the team, in my opinion, is incredibly crucial. You just mentioned a tiny bit, but to me, it was plenty.

Haaland is now just two goals behind Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-Min, the 2017 Premier League Golden Boot winners.

Haaland has scored 21 goals in only 17 league games this season, compared to Salah and Heung-23 Min’s goals in 23 games last year.
