Villarreal’s flanker Samuel Chukwueze, a member of the Super Eagles, has been nominated for La Liga player of the month for March.

The Nigerian attacker has contributed to six of Villarreal’s last seven league goals, and his current success has elevated him to the list of the league’s top players.

After hitting a breathtaking volley to start the scoring in Villarreal’s away triumph against Osasuna over the weekend, Chukwueze was nominated for the coveted prize. With the goal, he now has 11 goals and 11 assists for the season, ranking him among the league’s top offensive players.

Iago Aspas of Celta Vigo, Borja Iglesias of Real Betis, Enes Ünal of Getafe, Antoine Griezmann of Atletico Madrid, Raphina of Barcelona, and former Manchester City player David Silva, who is now playing for Real Sociedad, will compete for the prize with Chukwueze.

When his squad plays Real Sociedad on April 2, the Nigerian international will be hoping to keep up his impressive run and aid his team in securing yet another crucial win.
